Thanks for testing Replywright.

You're one of the first people to use it. This page covers how to install it, what to try, and how to tell us what broke.

Install

  1. Open the install link from your beta invite and click Add to Chrome.
  2. Open Gmail in desktop Chrome and refresh the tab.
  3. Open any email and click AI Reply, next to Reply and Forward.
  4. The first time, Google asks you to let Replywright see your email address. Choose your account and click Allow. That's the only permission it asks for.

What to try

Reply ideas

Open a few different emails: a meeting request, a question from a customer, a newsletter. Are the sender's intent and the three ideas accurate?

Drafts

Pick an idea, or type your own instruction. Is the draft something you'd actually send? Does it match your tone?

Continue Improving

Ask for changes like "shorter", "more formal" or "mention I'm out on Friday". Flip between versions with the arrows.

Insert

Click Insert. The draft should land in Gmail's reply box above your signature. Check nothing you typed was lost.

Preferences

Set tone, formality, length and your role under Default preferences. Do later drafts follow them?

Good to know

  • The free plan includes 15 drafts a month. The counter appears above each draft.
  • If Replywright hasn't been used for a while, the first request can take up to a minute while the server wakes up. After that it's quick.
  • Gmail's interface needs to be in English for the AI Reply button to appear.
  • Replywright never sends email. You always click Gmail's Send yourself.

Report a problem or idea

Use the Feedback link at the top of the Replywright panel, or open the feedback form. A screenshot description, the kind of email you were replying to and what you expected to happen all help. Please don't paste private email content.
